I'm very tired.

Unfortunately, I'm at just the right level of tiredness that if i sleep, I feel like I should be doing something, and if I do something I feel like I should be asleep.

That's actually perfectly logical if you think it through, but I'm too tired.

The only time of the year i stop to time how fast my fingernails grow

Study is a delicate thing. One, tiny wisp of distraction and it will topple off the tall, swaying spire it had been precariously perched on and crash into the ground, shattering into a billion and 5 peices of pure...not-studying-ness.

Its so hard to get into my study state of mind. Seeing how big a circle on can draw on a page is way more fun! in fact i'm going to do that now! woo!

Right now it is exams. Sqityl cares very much about his results and my mother (bless her heart) cares very much about mine, so never of us will be posting much for the next 2 weeks. I will try, and i will try to make Sqityl try, but no promises.

But hey, at least i can try to improve my awesome pencil spinning techniques! That will defiantly get the girls!

item number one is a lie

Just so you know, i don't care. i'm not sure what it is i don't care about, but i sure as hell don't.

I don't care about pretty girls, whether my cup is half full or half empty (only that it tastes good), what the flowers smell like, what my results are at school (although i do care what my parents might do...), if i sleep, the colour of the sun (i did, once, but i now i want to know what it smells like), what clouds want (but i do need to know who else is looking at them) how fast the beat is, where i am (but where i might be maybe), if i'm in pain or not, whether my soul is in pain or not (shuttup goddam it!), what god was thinking when he made the colour blue, why people devote their lives to superstition, what my calculator needs (wha?), how many people are dying right now, how many children are dying right now (my conscience is black enough, an i don't want to end up emo), what human flesh tastes like (or so i tell my self) whether anybody will read this, why my arm hurts and where light goes when it is dark.

I felt like a list. Maybe i'll let you know what i do care for next time. Maybe not. (i don't really care right now...sorry, couldn't help myself then).

Cave recordings

I live in the nineteenth century, and therefore I still have a VCR, despite how horribly obsolete that method of data storage is.

The problem with having something like a VCR is that you have the temptation to use it, so whenever I there is a show that I REALLY want to watch, but I have better things to do; i just record it.

Main problem with this is that when something gets recorded, I never get around to watching it, so I have all these tapes which have shows on them which I can't record over, because of the ever-decreasing chance that I will watch them.

And if I DO get around to watching them... well, you can imagine what video on a technology that predates the wheel would be like.

The morale of the story? I need to spend less time complaining about things and more time outside. Why would I want to go outside anyway? There's butterflies out there!

My Amnesiac Curse

I know i promised to give you a long and contemplative post on why eating sultanas has reduced my vast pride but instead i have a life to tend and water, and i would much rather ask a simple mind consuming question like is Ping Pong evil (answer; only if you let it be).

At the moment, in my sparing moments of sleep i am having a (semi) re-occurring dream in which i tell (someone? Something? you?) about the dream i had the night before. This off course makes a mind bending chain reaction that basically ends up with me waking up running away from mental butterflies (you know what i'm talking about).

For example "well last night i had a dream that i was telling you about the dream i had the night before. wait a minute, this is a dream! That means in a dream i am telling you about the dream i had the night before in which i was telling you about the dream i had the night before in which-" at which stage i may or may not exclaim "oh no, the metaphysical predatory butterflies" and run away in the form of waking up.

Why did i tell you that? Why do i care?

just keep the butterflies away....

Right now i'm eating sultanas. Sultanas with bits of dried pineapple in it.

If i wasn't so engrossed with its Fantascular taste i'm sure i could find a 30 (THIRTY) reasons why that is sad and demeaning.

Numbers KILL letters

I was thinking, what if we could use letters as numbers? Kind of like in Hexadecimal code, but with only letters?

I picture it as a base 25 counting system (because A is zero)

It would be A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z, BA, BB, BC, BD and so on.

I bet it's been done before, but isn't it cool?

Or even better, what if we used letters, but kept a base 10 counting system? (A is still zero)
So that would be A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, BA, BB, BC and so on.

Isn't it awesome!

Look at this.

We hear a lot on the Internet about gadget friendly Japan, and how it's a futuristic magical fantasy land where any geeks dreams can come true. I have no doubt that this isn't so far from the truth, and, after Norway it would be the best place for me to live in the world (Norway comes first because it fancy pretty fjords)

But still, this is more awesome than any fancy gadget in any country.
